About

zws

I think that the world is a weird and fascinating place, and I strive to be both of those things.

I am a filmmaker, a writer, an artist, and journalist. Along with a crazy person with a multitude of obsessions. And I figured maybe someone else might be interested in the crazy stuff that keeps me up all hours of the day and night.

I want this site to be a single hub for all of my writing, my short films and my ramblings which are, otherwise, spread across the web.

As for the blog, want this to be a general daily assortment of all the most interesting stuff that you might have missed. Along with lists, info-graphics, story ideas, self-promotional nonsense and generally fun stuff.

Also, just for more info, here is what my IMDb page says:

“Zach Seemayer was born and raised in Hollywood to a father who was an artist/director and a mother who was a film editor. Interested in film and art from a young age, Zach began painting when he was a child, having dozens of art shows, and began writing novels and screenplays in high school. During college, Zach began shooting short films and taking film classes. Zach is interested in Directing, Writing, Producing and Acting. He has the Orson Welles disease. He has directed dozens of short films that are looking for festival play. He also likes long walks on the beach… but he would rather watch a movie.”

FAQs:

Q: So, you’re… what? I film-makers? Or a writer? Or a comedian?

A: Yes.

Q: So this is like a portfolio website? For promoting yourself and finding work?

A: Yeah, I guess. I mean that sounds good. Yes. Let’s go with that.

Q: But also a blog? With… like original content?

A: Right. New stuff every day!

Q: Do you have movie news?

A: Sure. I don’t know. Maybe? I mean, yeah probably. This whole thing is kind of just starting. So…

Q: You don’t really seem like you know how to write a very good About page.

A: That’s not a question. Do you have a question?

Q: Have you ever even seen an about page?

A: F**k you.

Q: It just seems like this site has a very limited scope of interest. Like maybe just people who know you. I don’t feel anyone is going to care about your site when no one has any reason to care about your opinions, or even trust them.

A: I’m not hearing a question mark at the end there. Only questions. Qs.

Q: Okay, okay. What has a head and a foot but no body?

A: A Bed. Don’t even start. I’m very good with riddles. You might as well call me… the uh,… the Riddle Man.

Q: Not The Riddler?

A: Goddamn it! Yeah, that’s better. Might be copy-written though… I’m going to stick with Riddle Man.

Q: Okay, here’s another one. What’s the quickest way to double you’re money?

A: Invest it?

Q: No, fold it in half.

A: Wouldn’t that be halving your money?

Q: No… because you have two of the bill now.

A: No. You have two half bills. Actually, you have the same bill folded in half. That didn’t even make sense in a riddle sort of way.

Q: I think we’re getting off track now.

A: You started this s**t! NOW you want to ask real questions?

Q: How often do you think you’ll post on this f**kin’ site?

A: I don’t know. Daily? Yeah, daily.

Q: Isn’t that what you said about all you’re other sites that floundered and fell into disuse?

A: I think we’re done here.

Zach, everytime I hear your name I can’t help but remember your awesome screening a couple of years ago. I keep telling my friends about how awesome those shorts were, but when I try to locate them, I cant find them online. I want to promote you, but dude but I cant find them. Help a sister out…post them and send me the link. Also, and this is completely unrelated but, I wanna audution for your next movie. 🙂

Hey! Well, that’s whats cool about this site, almost all my short films are up here in the video tabs. I really appreciate the kind words and the support 🙂

Zach. A man whose wife has died is known as a Widower, not a Widow.

You are 100% correct. I normally don’t respond to comments about my work, but I really can’t believe I didn’t catch this. Thank you for flagging
